The general contractor LMS has started the reconstruction of the Roschino airport in Tyumen

On June 23, 2023, the official start was given to the construction of a new passenger terminal at Roschino Airport (operated by Novaport Holding LLC). The solemn ceremony of laying the «time capsule» was attended by the Governor of the Tyumen Region Alexander Moore, the General Director of Novaport Holding LLC Sergey Rudakov, the General Director of Airport Roshchino JSC Igor Luzhbin and the head of the LMS project Doğa Çepiç.

«The airport administration has ambitious goals to turn Tyumen airport into a large modern air hub that will be able to serve up to 2 thousand passengers per hour. To do this, it is necessary to almost double the area of the airport, build new telescopic ladders, increase the number of passport control booths and check-in counters, both for domestic and international air lines. All this is in the project, which our colleagues are starting to implement right now,» comments Alexander Moore, Governor of the Tyumen Region.

The reconstruction will be carried out in stages in the conditions of the current operation of the terminal.

During the reconstruction, the area of the new terminal will increase to 46 thousand m2 (the area of the existing terminal is 27 thousand m2). The reconstruction of Roshchino International Airport will increase the capacity to 1,900 passengers/hour, and the total annual volume to 3,800,000 passengers/year.

In addition to the terminal building, the engineering networks of buildings and structures, the forecourt and the apron will be reconstructed as part of the construction.

The new terminal will be equipped with seven telescopic ladders, modern passenger service and baggage handling systems.
