The specialists of LMS Group, the general contractor, continue to assemble the frame of the Perm State Art Gallery building; more than 1,150 tons of steel structures have been assembled. The work of tightening high-strength bolts with controlled tension is going on at the site. This is to ensure better friction of materials and prevent metal damage.
At the end of October, 10,500 m3 of backfill had also been completed at the site.
The concreting of the basement slab and the vertical structures (walls and columns) is completed with a capacity of 5,104 m3 at the level below zero, and 1,014 m3 at the level above zero. In parallel, the waterproofing of the foundation and the walls of the building is being performed, with a total area of 7,500 m2.
To effectively protect the basement from flooding by the ground waters, the basement wall drainage is nearing completion. Also in the basement and on the first floor LMS specialists are laying the walls of aerated concrete blocks, the scope of work is 510 m3.
More than 200 specialists, including engineering personnel, are working on the construction site.
