LMS Group of Companies is rapidly building a new air terminal complex at Magadan International Airport.
The builders switched to round-the-clock operation. Now 350 people work at the facility and in the first six months four kilometers of pipelines have been laid from scratch, most of the outdoor networks have been built. Now the builders are working on the future parking.
Construction is underway on an area of more than fourteen thousand square meters. LMS Project Manager Ilhan Musa Ozkoc: «Now we are building a huge parking lot for Magadan. Its area will be about thirty thousand square meters. And 500 cars will be placed on it at the same time. We are panicking the parking lot in August to finish and even asphalt it.»
The general contractor delivers construction materials to the region in advance. The process of cargo delivery is constantly monitored by the authorities of the region, they contact transport companies in case of delays. All in order to have time to do the maximum amount of work in the warm season and meet deadlines. The terminal is being built, preserving permafrost. The ground floor, which has already been built, will be cooled.
Elchin Sefatov, Deputy Project Manager of Magadan Airport: «We changed the pillow. We have made a more rigid foundation in order to prevent any movement of the building. Therefore, nothing should affect it. We are also monitoring constantly, for mobility, for precipitation, so far there are no problems.»
It is planned to complete the construction of the new Magadan Airport terminal complex at the end of 2024.
