LMS completed the 1st stage of reconstruction of Roshchino Airport in Tyumen

LMS Group of Companies has completed the 1st stage of reconstruction of the existing airport terminal complex of international/domestic air lines at Tyumen International Airport (Roshchino). On March 5, the Federal Air Transport Agency issued a permit to put the facility into operation.

The new building is already available:

• boarding gates for domestic flights 1, 1A and 2, 2A;
• baggage claim area for domestic passengers;
• comfort lounge (business lounge);
• VIP lounge.

Later, a preflight inspection will be launched on the second floor of this part of the terminal. The airport is named after chemical scientist Dmitry Mendeleev, so the facade and interiors are decorated with stylized diagrams of chemical elements. Materials imitating wood are used in the decoration. The new building is more spacious and bright, with panoramic windows installed in many rooms. There are escalators, an elevator and ramps are installed for people with limited mobility.

Reconstruction started in May 2023. The area of the airport terminal will increase almost 2 times, from 27,000 m² to 47,000 m². The capacity will increase from 600 to 2000 passengers per hour. The construction work will take place in 3 stages. As a result, there will be 2 new teletraps at the airport. The number of check—in desks will almost double, from 15 to 39. Of these, 11 are on international airlines, as well as 2 racks for oversized luggage. 22 passport control booths are planned on international airlines (currently there are 8 of them). Engineering networks, the forecourt and the platform will also be updated. All work is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2026.
