Opening the meeting on the socio-economic development of the Kaliningrad Region, the Head of state thanked those who participated in the creation of the new Encor plant for the production of silicon wafers for solar panels in the Chernyakhovsk Industrial Park.

Igor Shakhray, General Director of the Encor plant for the production of components for solar energy, asked Vladimir Putin to start the production process. «Of course, with pleasure,» the president said.

The Head of State also congratulated everyone who took part in the implementation of the enterprise for the decisions taken and their implementation. «As they say in such cases, no one can be forgotten: workers, engineers, builders - all of them. This is a really good step in terms of the development of the region, the production capacity of the region, and job creation. Everything has been said about this, however, it does not hurt to repeat it. It's even nice to do it,» Putin said.
