The design of the interior decoration of the Airport in Voronezh has been coordinated

LMS Group, the general contractor for the construction of the new air terminal complex of the Peter the Great Voronezh International Airport, has approved the agreed design, made a list of necessary finishing materials and is now starting to purchase them.

Four concepts were proposed by the designers for the interior decoration: «Peter I and Voronezh», «Industrialization», «Evolution and Development» and «Flight, Air, Views». The first concept was chosen. As noted earlier, the theme of Peter the Great and shipbuilding is reflected in the exterior design of the terminal - outside the building will resemble a ship: the details of the roof depict sails which are supported by masts.

Interior design, decoration materials and details of the interior continue to reveal the theme of the navy.

During the Peter era ships were built of wood - so associations will be evoked through the use of a large number of surfaces made of wood and wood. The textured material will be decorated walls, ceilings, decorative elements. This atmosphere is reminiscent of the classic style, adds a note of history to the interiors. Textiles reminiscent of the sails of ships may also be used.

The color design of the new airport complex will be made in pastel colors - calm shades of beige, blue and gray. The reddish wood will harmonize with the light stone and silver metal, as well as shade the dark inserts and decorative elements. The graphite-black color, for example, on the upholstered armchairs of the business lounge (on the 3rd photo) reminds us of the color of the fertile land in the capital of the Black Earth Region.

One of the accent colors will be saturated blue, evoking associations with the depths of water, but at the same time supporting one of the colors of the new logo - blue. For example, the check-in area (left in photo 1) will be in blue.

Smooth shapes of the luggage belt, wall decorations and other details symbolize waves and water (on 2 photo).

The interior design was developed by TOU ARCHITECTS, a partner architectural bureau from Voronezh. TOU team includes designers, urban planners, architects and provides services for the development and implementation of multifunctional spaces.

The implementation of the concept of the navy, shipbuilding and Peter the Great will be traced in all areas of the airport.
